Art Deco Ostby Barton Gent's Signet Ring - 10k White Gold & Carnelian

Antique Art Deco ring constructed out of solid 10k white gold and carnelian. Ring features a bezel set 5.3mm long x 4.3mm wide octagonal carnelian slab. Stone is tight in bezel and doesn't move but there are a few minor scratches to stone, but overall excellent condition for its age. Shoulders have what look like hand engraved leaves into geometric panels, also in crisp condition with minor wearing near ends. Face of ring is 1.75cm long with ring rising 3.3mm off finger. Shoulders taper to a 3 mm wide band at back.

Marked OB. 10 (K is gone due to a previous sizing) inside band. OB for Ostby & Barton; jewellery manufacturers out of New York. Ostby perished on the Titanic but Barton kept the business going for some years after his passing

Size 12 (you can see it has been sized up with a "lighter" coloured white gold in 6th and 7th photos).
