9ct Signet Ring
- marked with a 'V6' or '9A' inside band
- tests at 9ct gold
- oval face of the signet ring features hand engraved initial J and G in script
- face measures 10.75mm long x 8.2mm wide
- I wonder if this ring was at one point a locket ring (mourning or otherwise) as the back of the ring is hollow and has a bit of a turned in lip. A small section of this lip is bent inwards, see 7th photo, bottom of ring
- split shoulders connect and keep a double banded pattern all the way around the 2.2mm wide band at back
- ring is quite light weight due to hollowed out face
- size 7.75
- overall excellent antique condition with initials in good crisp condition
