Edwardian 9ct/10K Yellow Gold and Amethyst Conversion Earrings

Edwardian Yellow Gold Amethyst Dangle Earrings
- these beautiful earrings were originally screw backs that my jeweller converted into wearable stud earrings
- previous screw backs were marked with 9ct and a makers mark of an 'L' inside diamond frame
- post is marked 10k with one butterfly marked '585', and other butterfly back marked '14K D&B CORRECT'
- earrings are constructed of 9ct yellow gold drops, 10k yellow gold post and 14k yellow gold butterfly backs
- stud portion of earrings feature a 1.95mm bezel set round mixed cut amethyst with a 1.4cm long chain suspended from it
- a 10mm x 6mm oval frame hangs from the chain with a beautiful deep purple oval mix cut amethyst bezel set inside of it
- oval amethysts measure approx. 4.1mm x 5mm each
- total length of earrings is 2.6 cm with a drop of 2.3 cm
- please note that converted posts are not the same width (but both still slim) because we recycled old posts instead of ordering new ones
- excellent antique converted condition circa 1910s
