Estate 14k Yellow Gold Large Amethyst & Diamond Ring

Vintage circa 1970s ring constructed out of solid 14k yellow and white gold with genuine amethyst and round brilliant cut diamonds. This gorgeous ring features a round modified brilliant cut amethyst that is claw set at the centre of the ring. The vibrant amethyst measures approx. 10mm in diameter (for approx. 3.8ct) and is the most beautiful shade of purple with an excellent cut. There are diamonds set in a cluster on either side of the amethyst, for a total of six diamonds. Each cluster of diamonds contains one 2.2mm and two 2mm round brilliant cut diamonds for approx. 0.2ctw.

The face of the ring is 9mm long and reaches 1.6cm across finger. The ring rises 8mm high off the finger with 6mm wide shoulders that taper to a 3mm wide band at the back.
