Estate pendant and necklace constructed out of solid sterling silver and opal triplet. An opal triplet consists of a dark backing, with a slice of opal glued on top of it, and a clear dome (glass, clear quartz or plastic) glued on top. This piece has a closed back so it may be a doublet (slice of opal with clear topper), but due to its deep colour I will call it a triplet.

Oval triplet is bezel set and measures 10.4mm x 8.4mm. Opal has a blue body colour and shows a greenish blue to violet play of colour. Pendant is strung on a 0.9mm box link chain.

Marked 925 on back of pendant. Chain is marked 925 ITALY on chain tag.

Pendant measures 2.8cm long x 0.9cm wide. Chain is 18" long.
