Vintage Birks Regency Plate Silver Plate Ring Box

Birks Regency Plate Ring Box
- marked 'BIRKS' and 'Regency Plate' on bottom of box
- constructed out of base metal (likely copper) with a heavy sterling silver plating, fabric ribbon edging and velvet ring slot
- top of box features the 'double B' Birks logo
- interior has a 2cm wide ring slot that fits a wide band/ring comfortably
- a slim ring will fit in the slot but will slide down to the bottom
- lid has 6 hairline cracks around it (see pictures, 5, 6, & 7), that have been soldered (repaired) from the inside (see pictures 8 & 9)
- hinge in excellent working order but lid does not 'click' closed
- ring box has a 5cm diameter base, with a 3.5cm diameter lid, and a height of 4cm
- silver plate is in excellent condition with minor tarnishing along some edges on the outside, and tarnished completely under lid where more base metal is exposed
- there is no denting
- this particular ring box is an older style that still has fabric detailing on the inside, the newer ones have plastic
- good vintage condition
